How does Unemployment Insurance auto-renewal work?

The renewal process can only be initiated 30 days before the policy expires. Edenred will begin the renewal process 25 days before the expiration. Please ensure that your employees have sufficient balance during this period.

How will I be notified about the upcoming auto-renewal?

You can log in the Edenred payroll portal and check the dashboard banner for updates.

Has the premium amount changed from last year for the renewals?

No, there is no change in the amount. All employees will be charged the same amount in a similar instalment or annual plan as the first year. 

What happens if employees don't have balance on their C3Pay card at the time of renewal?

Edenred will attempt to renew the card policy again if the employee receives salary funds on their C3Pay card during the grace period before the policy expires.

Is there a grace period for payment once the expiry date of the insurance policy is passed?

Yes, there is a grace period of 90 days provided for payment as stated by Dubai Insurance. After the grace period has ended, the policy will expire and cannot be claimed later. In this case, an employee must purchase a new policy to avoid fines.
